Track and field, road running, and race-walking are the three different sets of sports that will comprise the 48 medal events in the athletics competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, which are expected to take place from August 1 to August 11, 2024.

Four locations will be used: the State de France for the track and field events, the Hotel de Ville and Les Invalids for the marathon race start and finish lines, and Pont Diene for the race walking. Athletics Paris 2024 Qualification

If all qualifying athletes meet the entry rules during the qualifying period, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) may enter a maximum of three qualified competitors in each event and a relay teams may only have one qualified team per event.

As per the universal rule, a National Olympic Committee (NOC) that lacks a qualifying athlete or relay team may send its top-ranked male or female athlete to the 100, 800, or marathon individual events.

Athletics Paris 2024 Venue
